A little bit about me…
I was born on the Round Valley Reservation in Mendocino County, California. I’m a member of the Nomlaki tribe.

While at UGA, I studied psychology and did my lab assistantship studying, in part, how pain works.
Hohmann AG, Neely MH, Pina J, and Nackley AG. (2005) Neonatal chronic hindpaw inflammation alters sensitization to intradermal capsaicin in adult rats: a behavioral and immunocytochemical study. Journal of Pain 6 (12), 798-808.
I love trivia and have an unbelievable number of useless hobbies and academic pursuits (all of which I enjoy, only a few of which I excel at) such as juggling, linguistics, aromatherapy, cultural studies, winemaking, ethnic cuisine, and philosophy. My most recent hobby is an unhealthy obsession with Dance Dance Revolution. Also, like most academic-type folks, I read a wide variety of books and enjoy writing.
As a student advisor, my job is mainly to make sure that our students’ educations are productive and have as few interruptions as possible. Along with Eric, I work behind the scenes to do everything from changing students’ programs of study to evaluating home school portfolios. Additionally, I periodically engage in research to determine if a new program or alteration to a current program will benefit our students.
